We’re committed to helping protect the environment.

Whether it’s making the Edgebrook and Sauganash business districts bicycle-friendly, or our work on the Forest Glen Climate Toolkit, we’re here to help!

We’ve long had a vision to attract cyclists to the Edgebrook business district.  The North Branch Trail meets Devon at Caldwell, right across the street from Edgebrook. If you’re riding by, steer yourself to Edgebrook for shopping, dining and more. You’ll find charming shops, a variety of restaurants, an art center and a community garden. This map shows many of our businesses and locations of bike racks.

As the fiscal agent for the Climate Toolkit, we worked with the Field Museum to make the ideas of local scouts become reality.

Thanks to resources like a grant from Boeing Corporation, and access to the environmental experts at the Field Museum, coupled with the local kids’ creativity and terrific scout leadership, we achieved impressive results with water conservation, natural mosquito abatement and eco-friendly gardening.

More than 40 rain barrels were installed in local homes, businesses,
churches and schools to help conserve water and reduce flooding.
